Funky Junk's Sunset Home

I first saw this southwestern style home on my friend Alicia Chenaux's flickr stream and commented on what a well done SW style home it was. I haven't seen any as nice as this one in SL! Since I grew up in New Mexico, I think, I know a thing or two about this style!

Funky Junk did a great job combining SW traditional and modern style! There are beautifully textured earth tones walls used inside and outside of the home and the vigas or lattillas in the roof are perfect!

Did you notice the blue windows and doors? Well, that is a SW folkloric tradition to ward off evil spirits. I don't know how many evil spirits there are in SL but maybe it will ward off any crazy neighbors you may have!

I love the tiled floor! It is totally something you would see in Santa Fe! The built in wooden book cases and fireplace that you can utilize in both rooms are a nice touch!

More wooden book shelves and an extra room off to the side for an office or your bedroom.

A great surprise! Another beautiful fireplace outside in the patio or portal! Just another way to extend your indoor living outdoors!

Sway's Embroidery Pillow

I know I just blogged Sway's the other day but I just couldn't help myself and had to blog this adorable Embroidery Pillow Set that she just released! Now if you like to do crafts in RL, you can do them in SL too!

Check this out! The set comes with this colorable pillow with six adjustable poses that you can use when you just sit on the pillow or when you use it on the chair below. It also comes with this cute little basket, the thread and needle and the embroidery hoop. I'm working on my Christmas and Easter gifts! You have to start on that stuff early!

Sway's In The Hay

I think everyone on the grid is currently decorating their land for Autumn and I am too! I wanted to get some outdoor items that would bring that extra Fall touch and Sway's just released a couple of weeks ago this great hay stack complete with pumpkins and apples..what more could say Autumn?

In this set, you get the hay ground and three different hay stacks with three poses each! It's great for hanging out with your friends and chatting.

Blogger Challenge--Gone But Not Forgotten

I saw this blogger's challenge on Alicia's blog and thought I would give it a try. The items in the post need to be from designers/stores who have either closed or are on an undetermined hiatus.

So I pulled from my inventory a black pearl necklace and the Jaydie dress that was one of my favorite dresses from Persona. I don't know when was the last time there was a release from Persona but I think it has been over a year. The store is still there though and it sells clothing, jewelry, poses and AOs. For new players it is a great place to go and get some free poses to put in your Zhao AO.

The hair I am wearing is The Drifter from Foam. Remember Foam? They hit the grid and took off like gang busters but a short time after they had to pull up shop. As it turns out, the creators were underage and for that we lost out on some great hair! Unfortunately, this was the only style that I purchased before they left. Still one of my favorites and I wear it often. But guess what?? Foam is now Nouveau Miranda and this style is now there. So maybe I am cheating a little here in this challenge?

The Kimberly skin that I am wearing is from Free Speerit. I am not sure what is going on with Free Speerit and I have heard that they may just be on hiatus for the summer so hopefully they will be back soon with some great new skins! We have not forgotten about you Free Speerit!

My eyes are, of course, from the very talented and very missed Miriel! I was lucky enough to purchase almost all the eyes from this shop before it was closed. There are other great eye makers our there but Miriel was unique!

The pose that I am using is from Pffiou. Laleeta Xue the pose maker and dear friend of mine made some cute and fun poses! Her RL right now is busy and exciting and even though I have not corresponded with her via email in awhile I do hope she reads this and knows that I am thinking of her!

Whole Lotta Rosi!

Well on Sunday night I blogged that the new Belle Di Notte Rosi skins were coming and the next day they are out! Woo hoo!

The skins are sold in light, natural, tan and dark. With a fat pack you get the skins with six lipsticks, dark and light eyebrows, a shape and cleavage enhancers as a tattoo layer or undershirt option.

The eye makeups, blush and freckles are sold separately as tattoo layers. Because the eye makeups are sold separately, there are plenty of opportunities to mix and match with the lipsticks!

I tried to show a variety of looks below mixing and matching to give you some ideas on how versatile the skin is. I am wearing the dark tone which I think is a yummy cocoa color! It works really well with dark and even blonde eyebrows IMHO. Some of you who are blondes in SL all the time may not find the light eyebrows light enough for you with the dark skin tone so the light tone would probably be better for you if you like for your eyebrows to match your hair color. They show up lighter against the light skin tone.

As you can see in the pictures, the lips are soft and luscious looking which is typical of Belle Di Notte's skins.

Picture one: Fresh Blue eyeshadow, Flushed lips with Dark eyebrows. Picture two: Watermelon eyeshadow, Coral lips with Light eyebrows. Picture three: No Eyeshadow, Nude Lips, Light eyebrows and Freckles layer (sold separately).

Well, I hope that gives you some ideas. There are other eyeshadows that I did not show but you can check them out at Belle Di Notte. I did try the eyeshadows on some of my other skins and they seemed to work really well.

Ohhh, Romaana...you brown eyed beauty you! AtomicBambi's latest release is the Romaana skin and I am just loving it! I love the pouty lips and I think the eyebrows are just right. They aren't too thick and they aren't too thin.

I am wearing the Romaana Sunblush in dark (the dark refers to the color of the eyebrows). There is also a version with light eyebrows for those of you who are blonde. With a purchase of a fat pack you get freckles, cleavages, hair bases and 10 makeups.

As you can see the makeups range from heavy to light so you have some good options to choose from. AtomicBambi also sells lipsticks in the tattoo layer for this skin so you can change things up even more!

Haven Designs and Ingenue

These picnic sundresses have been out for awhile from Haven Designs but when I was looking for a cute dress to wear with the new Citron shoes from Ingenue, I thought they were a perfect fit!

Honestly, I always thought Haven Designs was just a fantasy or costume type of clothing store so these were a nice surprise to see! I love the texture work and the style. When I saw a black dress in the pack, I didn't think a black picnic dress would really work but it does! It is just as cute and flirty as the other colors!

So after you buy one or more of these cute dresses, you need to stop by Ingenue to pick up one or more of her new Citron shoes. These are cute rounded toe wedges and I love how the heels have that curve in the back.

Ambiance Hacienda Sets

Ambiance has come out with three new releases called Hacienda. All three sets are packed with furniture, animations and cute little accessories to complete your rooms.

First up and my favorite set out of the three is the living room. Wicker furniture is a favorite of mine in RL and this set is really well done. The seating has a ton of poses in it and the fireplace, lights and candles all have on/off options. You get everything that you see here which is great for filling up that living room space!

The small pillows and the rug are texture changing in this set so you have a few color options to play with.

Check out the couch! It is large and roomy for a lot of friends and I love the coffee and cheese cake accessories..details, details!

Next up is the dining room set and it includes everything that is shown. The rug and place mats are the texture changing items here. I really like the place setting details and the dining room chairs have eating animations included, which are always cute.

This is a nice set to fill up a dining room space with.

Last but not least is the bedroom set and all the furniture in this set is texture changing! I selected the plum texture since purple is my favorite color. Once again, you get everything that is shown! I like that it comes with a standing mirror and the pitcher and basket of towels are also nice accessories.

I would have liked to have seen a texture changing rug come with this set because I think rugs help tie a room together. Also, I would have liked to have seen some color changing options for the pot. Those are just personal preferences and by no means are they deal breakers for me.

Sway Dench just makes the cutest things ever! I wanted to put a picnic table out on my land so I went on a search and found the perfect one at Sway's. What could be better on a beautiful summer day but delicious apple pie and lemonade?

Sway pays attention to the details! Check out the fruit slices on the glasses, the ice cubes and even the brown crust on the pie! All yummy!

Each pillow has two poses each and changes colors when you change the tablecloth color. I picked purple because that is my favorite color but there are eight colors to choose from.

The lovely and talented Jordan Giant has released a new beautiful skybox/house called the min.poegin that was inspired by her love of music and Iceland and it is stunning! The textures and light give this skybox a warm and homey feeling and isn't that what we all want in our SL home?

The lonesome.bird vase is the freebie that Jordan has released to go with her new skybox build. If you touch the glass bottles, they will light up and if you touch the birdie he will sing! Too cute!

Elymode Dulce and Dutch Touch Sale!

Elymode has come out with some cute, colorful and flirty new tanks, skirts and tops called Dulce which are as yummy as they sound. As typical of Elymode, the texturing is gorgeous and there are so many colors, layering options and mixing and matching that you can do with these separates that it is mind boggling.

I'm showing the Dulce tank and skirt in Lemon and Berry. You get two skirt options. One short and sexy and the other one shorty, sexy but also fluffy and flirty. The belt on the second skirt option is also color change.

In case you have not heard, Dutch Touch is having a sale on her River II skins! All single skins are 50% off and then she is retiring them! Just a note, there is a smudge under my eye on my facial close up. That is due to my lack of photo taking skills and not on the skin itself.

Second Spaces has some new furniture out that is perfect for summer and is so unique that you have to put it in your home! (Please be aware that not all furniture shown is from Second Spaces. I wanted to show how different pieces could be used in a room. All credits will be listed below)

First up is the Sophia Living Set which would go perfectly in a summer beach home with its soft pink colors and lazy day type of of poses. The set comes with the table, tulips, rug, room divider, chaise and wall cabinet. I put my set up in the Molto Bene! Seaside Bungalow.

Next is the cutest tile coffee table that I put in my living room area...it looks like a scrabble board game!

Check it out! I love the details on this and I think it is a very original idea. I like how all the words shown are SL related.

For my reading corner I put out the Second Space's Zebra table that went great with my Gbberish Jungle Cat Armchair.

Last but not least is the Max's Painted Dresser! This reminds me of a weekend DIY project that I would do in RL but my results would not turn out as nice as this! Because this dresser is so unique it doesn't have to be limited to a bedroom, you could use it in any room of your house.

Baffle! My Little Bathtub

Time for a bath! Ok, we don't really need to take baths in SL but this is just the cutest bathtub set that Baffle put out with some great poses!

This bathtub prop comes with 11 menu driven, adjustable poses (only six are shown). Two shower heads-one that's like a shower and another one that has a drop dripping down. You can turn the water on/off by clicking on one of the faucets. This will also turn off the sound. It also comes with the pile of towels and the plate of candles.

I debated putting nude shots but its a bath...I would look silly in a bathing suit or with duct tape over my breasts! So if you are feeling the need to get clean in SL, then you should definitely check out the demo at Baffle and pick one up!

I love the lips and the makeups on these skins! The lips look so soft and touchable with just the right amount of gloss and the makeup is perfect! The shades are not too over done and they have the same soft look as the lips.

If you purchase the fat pack, you will get light and dark brow options included with every makeup purchase. You can choose from Light, Natural, Tan and Dark skin shades. I am wearing the natural tone. You also get a free shape. However, I'm wearing my own shape in the pictures and I think the skin looks fabulous on it!

WoE Olivia Corset

The creator behind WoE is now making beautiful lingerie! The first set is called the Olivia Corset and the texturing and details are amazing! The set includes a strapless corset, thong panties and heel stockings and is sold in eight colors.

However, the corset that you see in the first picture is an exclusive color only available at the Alternative Fair with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity Nothing But Nets.

The Codie is the sexy red color featured below. This color will be released this weekend at the Rouge sim owned by CodeBastard Redgrave. The Rouge sim is a living piece of art created by Eshi Otawara. 50% of all sales for the "Codie" color will go directly toward the support of Rouge.

If you have never been to Rouge, you should definitely check it out! They often have parties there and it is a very unique sim!

The corset below is the Olivia Blue and is one out of the eight colors that are currently on sale at WoE.

I love posing props and I saw this door pose prop at a place new to me called buttons. This prop is currently %50 off at the shop located at the H&S Village during the Spring Fling sale. It has six poses but I am only showing four here.

The free cute shirt I am wearing and the album holding pose comes from another new to me place called wonderkids. I thought the shop would be all kid AV stuff and some of it was but some of it would also be for adult AVs. The shirt and album holding pose are in support of Vinyl Day! Grindstone Furniture

I learned of Grindstone Furniture when I went to visit the banana.pancake skybox demo that Jordan Giant created and saw the Snuggle bed.

I then went to Grindstone but I didn't find the bed. I sent an IM to the creator and she was quickly getting the bed ready to put out in the store again because she had been receiving so many requests for it. She had actually stopped selling it but due to popular demand she put it back out for sell!

The bed has 25 colors and a tintable white to choose from. It has 12 sleeping poses for 1 or 2 persons and 9 quality cuddle poses.

The next item that is very eye catching is the Bibliophile shelf. The books come with it and they are also texture changing.

I love this refrigerator! I think the Union Jack on it is so original! The fridge is also scripted to share any objects you place inside it! I don't usually have a kitchen in SL but I might get one just so I can have this fridge.

Looking for something healthy to eat! Yea, right! More chocolate and fried food please!

Ingenue New Release At The Trilogy Re-Opening!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 17th for the re-opening of Trilogy! This time around they have revamped the space with a nod to the 1940s. All creators will be featuring new items inspired by this era and all these creations (and more) will be available at Trilogy for the duration of the theme.

Ingenue will be releasing the Lucy dresses, Hedda hats and Judy shoes. The colors that I am wearing are the Blackout and Mushy Peas. I love that name...Mushy Peas! As always, the quality of Ingenue's items are beautiful and flawless and they really coordinate well with one another.

Admit it...we all have someone in SL that we fan girl or fan boy. It could be a clothing, hair or furniture designer or maybe it is even a blogger but we all do it.

I would have to say the person that I have fan girled for the longest time is Zaara. Ever since I saw her little corner shop on a middle eastern SIM, I have loved her clothes and textures and she is a really nice person!

So, I decided to go to her main store on her own SIM to show her that I am her #1 fan!

I figured offering to have her babies was the best way to show my devotion. I mean who wouldn't be flattered by having someone stand in front of your shop with a sign like that? I knew it would only be a matter of time before she had to show up for work, right?

OMG, OMG! There she is! I knew she would show up today!

" Zaara, Zaara! It's me Terri, Terri Zhangsun! Your BFF, your Amiga...wait...don't run!"

Oh no! The standing in the hot sun for hours and the excitement must have gotten to me because I feel woozy!

OMG! How embarrassing I fainted in front of her!

Strange thing happened...I guess there is something called a restraining order on me because I was warned to keep my distance. I think that is a mistake though and must be for that Terri Zhangsun with the one "R" in her name and not me with the two "Rs". That's OK because I'll call her at home or work or on her cell or show up tomorrow at the shop or stop by her house to get it straightened out!

These pretty dresses from SySy's have been in my inventory for awhile but, well, you know how that goes!

I really wanted to blog these because I think the colors are so pretty and are perfect for the spring season and the Emerald one would be perfect for St. Patrick's day. I could see myself wearing the other shades on Easter Sunday.

I love the butterfly and flower pattern on the skirt but what I loved the most is that the skirt fit me perfectly! I didn't have to do any repositioning or stretching to get it to fit my waist!

I had no intention of doing another post for another week but I was screwing around at the NotsoBad SIM, took some pictures, played with them in Picnik and was happy with the results. Nymphetamine La Roche Tease Set

Paeoti Pomeray dropped on me one of her latest lingerie releases from her shop Nymphetamine. Like the other items that I have seen from Nymphetamine, the La Roche Tease Set is beautifully textured and also has the gray scale option so you can tint the ribbon on the bra and panties different colors. There are also optional bow attachments for the chest and hips that can be color tinted so you get many color choices for the price of one! The pictures below do not show the bows.

I went exploring the Great Wall of China sim the other night and it is a really cool place with a lot of things to see. It's a great place to take some landscape shots and I could see it being used to take fashion shots too. It also gave me a chance to use my camera poses and camera prop from PhotoGraphique Photography Equipment.

I love the 70's! I know a lot of people think of bad music, hair and fashion for that decade but I love it! I explored Summerland last night which is a 70's style sim and I enjoyed going to the drive in and rollerskating rink. However, what I really liked was the Seedy 70's home that they have for sale there.

If you are looking for a way to bring some of that retro 70's style type of living into your SL life, then this is a must have!

Looks like the Brady Bunch could live here.

I grew up with cabinets exactly like that! Check out the avocado green appliances!

The living room set. The cubes you see are the pose balls or squares.

Love this console tv and the stereo system....the memories! The beads in the doorway lead into the bedroom.

I guess the 70's wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the Swinging 70's and the movie cam in the bedroom completes the look!

I love the pattern and the bows on this set and I also love the fact that the set is grey scale so you can tint it to a color you like. No need to buy a fat pack and clog up your over bloated inventory!

If you have never been to Nymphetamine's shop, I would recommend checking it out there are a lot of beautiful and unique dresses, outfits and lingerie sets!

I love these new releases from Elymode! This week, Elysium Eilde, put out the Shorties Jumper, Slouchy Leggings and the Short Sweaters in pretty pastel colors.

I'm only showing two options on how you can wear these but with the many layers that are offered you can wear them in a variety of ways and if you buy the fat packs, well, the mixing and matching of layers and colors is endless!

Even if I am casual, I still like to look cute and these outfits are perfect for those days when you are just hanging out with friends.

Little Pricks and Skin Deep

Last night I got an IM from a friend to go check out a new store, Little Pricks and Skin Deep, on the grid that was starting to grow in popularity. So I tp'd over there and I can see why word is getting out about this store.

The store falls in the goth, neko, grunge type of genre and there are skins, tattoos, jewelry, textures, trees and prefabs to purchase. I really liked what I saw and wanted to help spread the word.

I love the coloring and the markings on the skins and the tummy piercings are perfect to wear with revealing tops. The markings in the second picture are actually a tattoo. Thanks to Ylva Korhonen for modeling and taking the following two pictures for me.

There are a variety of prefabs to choose from and a rezzing platform to check them out. My favorite one out of all of them was the d.D Casa de Dicha. The original texture work is beautiful and I found the fireplace stunning that is on the first floor.

The Glitter tree is just one of the few landscaping items for sale and there is also a lucky chair with the Crime Scene skin and a Midnight Mania board with a Screamer Tube Top.

My favorite thing of all that I just fell in love with are The Jaded Emo Line Necklaces! This is something I had to pick up for myself...love, love, love!

So if you are looking for a new store to check out and get excited about, then I would seriously recommend stopping by Little Pricks and Skin Deep and checking their stuff out!

Ingenue Shoes, Shoes and More Shoes

Betty Doyle, the talented designer behind Ingenue, is now taking her skills and making shoes for us! As if, beautiful clothing and hair was not enough...now we get shoes!

I received a sample of her releases and I love them! The shoes in the first collage are the Dianthus. A cute flat shoe with a pointed toe and ruffle on top. I usually don't like orangy type of colors but I really like the Tangerine ones in the upper right corner and will have to find something in my inventory to go with them.

The cute ballerina flats with the little bow are the Audrei.

My favorite shoes of all out of her releases are the Lilium. So cute with the little bow on top and the colors are delicious! The pair I am showing below are currently in the Shoes and Accessories Hunt. You need to find the pink Dr. Marten shoes and they are yours! Check out all of the other pretty colors on display and buy, buy, buy!

Glitterati Gives Me Head!

Anyway, to make this post short and sweet. Glitterati is coming out with an awesome pack of headshot poses tomorrow on January 28th at SL midnight time for the SL Daily Deals and you must get it! There are only 1000 packs available and then they will not be available again!

I am only showing eight poses out of ten in the pack that are available but this should give you an idea on how versatile these poses are! They would be great for jewelry and hair ads.

Spring is in the Air with MudHoney

MudHoney is bringing spring to us early with the latest release of the Spring Gazebo. I know a lot of people are getting tired of winter in your neck of the woods so why not start enjoying spring in SL with your friends and loved ones!

The Spring Gazebo comes with EVERYTHING you see in the pictures and is packed with animations. Unfortunately, I'm a single gal so you only get to see me in the pictures.

I love the picture frames with shadows and the paper lanterns. Each chair also has sit poses.

The lounger has a ton of single, couples and friends poses in it. See that tree there? It is part of the texture and not a separate tree! Love it!

Ok, I know this isn't a photoable but it has the same type of rezzing system. You just drop the rez box and everything automatically gets set up for you so this gazebo is great to use for those fashion shots too!

I was going through my inventory and found these great rose poses that Sai Pennell had as a pick reward about a year ago...so sorry folks they are no longer available! I know, I know...I'm terrible to tease you like that! But she has a lot of other great stuff in her shop ImpEle so check it out!

Anyway, I put this look together to go with the rose poses and snapped some pictures to share.

I'm wearing a fairly new release from Ingenue the Japonica in Rouge (I'm behind in my blogging). Another beautiful system skirt dress with a pretty gold satin flower for your waist.

The hair I am wearing is a new release from Magika. It is the Darling updo in brown. The style has a great sultry sidesweep at the bangs and the bun in the back is delicately layered and put in place with bobby pins. Unfortunately, you can't see the bun that well in my pictures so I guess you will have to go try a demo and see for yourself. :-)

I thought wearing Rockberry's Uma skin made the look complete!

La'Licious is Delicious!

Ha! The title rhymes! I'm not sure how long La'Licious Designs and Furniture has been in business but there are some really great furniture sets, skyboxes and accessories there.

The furniture inventory is small right now but I'm sure as word gets out about La'Licious, the inventory and shop will keep growing and growing!

The style seems to be shabby, country and cottagey ( I know that is not a real word).

Below are the some of the accessories that are available for your home and my favorite item is the old tub with plants inside of it. Perfect to put out on your front porch!

La'Licious also sells a variety of skyboxes with prims ranging in the 20s into the 50s. They are called the Lyrical Skyboxes because they were inspired by different songs. For example, one is called Glycerine inspired by Bush, another one is called Yellow inspired by ColdPlay....you get the picture. I thought that was a very creative idea.

Sophia Harlow threw out a challenge for us to show what we looked like as new players and what we look like now.

Well, there I was back in November 2007 thinking that I was soooo hot in my Playboy look alike skin, Gurlywood hair and white go go outfit. Believe it or not, it was really hard for me to part with that skin because I got so attached to it and it just felt like me.

This is me now almost two years later! I still love the long wavy styles because that is what I wish I had in RL. I'm wearing the FreeSpeerit Kimberly skin but to be honest I change my skin almost daily now but this is one of my favorites and what I use as my profile pic.

Exile New Hair and SWA Skull Shirts

Cute new hair just released by Exile. I am wearing from left to right the Dane style in Coffee. It is really for men but it looks cute on us girls too. The middle style is the Eva and the cute curly ponytail style is the Molly. I am wearing all of them in the Coffee color. You can get these styles in a pack of colors for $225 or a fat pack with ALL of the colors for $1000.

I was digging through my inventory and found this skin from Tuli called Kalista and I thought it worked well with the various hair styles and has a fresh young look to it.

The cool Skull shirts that I am wearing are from Second Wave Apparel (SWA) and they come in a ton of colors and are only $50 for a set of six shirts. I love anything with skulls on them and what's great is these shirts have graphics on the front and back.

My Top Five Favorite Things in SL for 2009--A Challenge!

I woke up at 3am last night thinking about these things and wanted to post them. I'm also going to put this out as a challenge to any bloggers who would like to do it.

Basically, just list your five favorite SL or SL related things for 2009. It can be skin, hair, a gadget or person. It didn't even have to be created in 2009 but it just has to be new to you. Oh, and you can cheat a little with the five things too as you will see I did.

So enough chit chat and on with my list....

5. MudHoney Photobles. These are a blogger's best friend! I've raved about these before on my blog about the ease of rezzing and derezzing them. You can change the furniture out in them and put your own stuff inside and since the items are copy, you can put some of the furniture in your own home as I have done. I believe, Rayvn has done six of these so far in 2009 and I can't wait to see what she does in 2010!

4. Japanese Sims/Creators. A whole new world of Japanese Sims/Creators was opened up to me this year thanks to Jordan Giant. After visiting her snow.white skybox and inspecting where she got the majority of her furniture, I was on a crazy whirlwind of discovery! I hopped from sim to sim and store to store discovering low prim, beautifully textured and reasonably priced furniture, housewares and plants! Some of the places to visit are Drowsy and Albero.

3. snow.white Skybox/Loft. My number four favorite leads right into my number three. When I saw this skybox on exchange, it was love at first sight! It's simple, pure, clean and fresh looking! I loved the quality and the size of it. You can buy it on exchange or visit Jordan's in world shop nordari.

2. LeLutka Estelle Skin. In 2009, I became a skin whore! I used to be loyal to one skin designer and wear that skin for months and months before I bought another fat pack from somewhere else. Now, I change my skin as often as I change my clothes in SL. However my favorite skin so far is the free LeLutka Estelle skin that I got at LE.LOOK. I think I am going to have to break down and buy a fat pack!

1. Plurk. Last but not least is Plurk. It is not really in SL but it is SL related. I have met so many great people on Plurk that I would not have met in world. I got to know my already existing SL friends better and it is a great way to keep up with all that is SL when you aren't able to log in.

So there you have it my five favorite SL things of 2009! So what are yours?

When my friend and neighbor Quaintly read my previous post about how bummed I was that the Christmas tree display was not for sale from Blonde. She sent me a Christmas present! This is special to me because no one has ever sent me a Christmas present before in SL and I love this tree!

Look at it! It has presents and a really cool decorating the tree pose that is animated!

It is from a store called Wildfire Designs that I had never heard of so I went and checked them out and they have some other really cute Christmas items out that are reasonably priced.

Look at this great Christmas set up! You get presents, a Santa bag, animated pose and a tree skirt!

There are even little ornaments hanging from the ladder !

Look at all these presents! I guess, I have been good this year!

Decorating the Christmas Tree in Ingenue

I love this time of year but I hate Christmas decorating in RL. The boxes from the attic are dusty and dirty and they get the rest of the house dirty. I have boxes everywhere and even though things are labeled I still can't find what I'm looking for.

After I'm done, I have to clean the pine needles and icicles that get everywhere and that I still find in some odd place in the house in June. I won't even get into complaining about when it is time to pack the stuff up and put it away!

Anyway, I found this great decorating the Christmas tree set up at Blonde. Unfortunately, last time I checked it is not something that is for sale, which is a bummer because it is low prim and I really love it! There are alot of other great things at Blonde that you can purchase though like almost everything else you see in this picture!

Taking these decorations out and setting up the tree has left me tired!

Can't reach! Must move sliders to get longer arms!

Time for a smoke break!

Ingenue has been releasing some beautiful dresses and separates the past few weeks and this week's release is more on the casual and cute side.

Betty has released the Jane high waisted jeans in six colors for $125 each or $600 for the fat pack. She also released the Marguerite sweaters in 10 colors for $100 each or $800 for the fat pack. Purple and black are my favorite colors and that is why I chose this color combination for my look. I also had the perfect jewelry to go with the outfit from DM Designs. I love how these jeans make my waist look! I'm wearing the sweater tucked in but it can also be worn out.

I have been a huge fan of SySy's work since I was a new player in November 2007. Her shop was one of the first stores that I discovered back then and I still have her red Christmas snuggly sweater with scarf in my inventory. Disco Ball Poses

Glitterati will be opening again this weekend with a whole new sim and with a whole bunch of new stuff! They will also be doing a small ish hunt for prizes to celebrate! There will be six items to hunt for. Five of the gifts will have one of these disco ball poses in it and the sixth gift will have a full set of ice skating poses.

Snowball Fight!

My friend Lolita Oleander turned me on to some Snowball Fight poses that Chase Zelin created. These are great poses to have for those cold Winter days when you want to get outside and have some fun! You can pick up these great poses at Sinsity for only $150 for the whole pack and they come with the snowballs. Check out his other great poses and props while you are there.I think you will find his items very reasonably priced. Oh check out the ad for the pillow fight...I got to be in it! Yay!
