Blogger Challenge--Gone But Not Forgotten

I saw this blogger's challenge on Alicia's blog and thought I would give it a try. The items in the post need to be from designers/stores who have either closed or are on an undetermined hiatus.

So I pulled from my inventory a black pearl necklace and the Jaydie dress that was one of my favorite dresses from Persona. I don't know when was the last time there was a release from Persona but I think it has been over a year. The store is still there though and it sells clothing, jewelry, poses and AOs. For new players it is a great place to go and get some free poses to put in your Zhao AO.

The hair I am wearing is The Drifter from Foam. Remember Foam? They hit the grid and took off like gang busters but a short time after they had to pull up shop. As it turns out, the creators were underage and for that we lost out on some great hair! Unfortunately, this was the only style that I purchased before they left. Still one of my favorites and I wear it often. But guess what?? Foam is now Nouveau Miranda and this style is now there. So maybe I am cheating a little here in this challenge?

The Kimberly skin that I am wearing is from Free Speerit. I am not sure what is going on with Free Speerit and I have heard that they may just be on hiatus for the summer so hopefully they will be back soon with some great new skins! We have not forgotten about you Free Speerit!

My eyes are, of course, from the very talented and very missed Miriel! I was lucky enough to purchase almost all the eyes from this shop before it was closed. There are other great eye makers our there but Miriel was unique!

The pose that I am using is from Pffiou. Laleeta Xue the pose maker and dear friend of mine made some cute and fun poses! Her RL right now is busy and exciting and even though I have not corresponded with her via email in awhile I do hope she reads this and knows that I am thinking of her!

The Nymphetamine Wedding Party

Nymphetamine has come out with some beautiful dresses that will have you and all of your bridesmaids covered if you are getting married in SL.

I love how the dresses coordinate well with one another but each dress has a hair flower that makes them unique.

There is the beautiful white Vivy Wedding dress that will have you looking like a princess on your big day!

The next gown is the Vivy dress in Robin's Egg Blue! So pretty and the delicate flower for your hair completes the look!

Last but not least is the Vivy dress in Lavender with the hair flower in a different location but just as pretty!

An extra bonus to these dresses is that they each turn into beautiful and feminine lingerie for the evening.

MudHoney Rouge Getaway Photoble

Normally, I don't do blog posts with couple's pictures because it is a pain to get my craptop out to pull up my male alt in SL. However, I didn't feel that I could do the new Rouge Getaway Photoble justice without showing the couple poses that are available.

What I really fell in love with is that when I was taking my pictures, a story line started to take place. As you will see below, just imagine how the story unfolds.

Me Then and Me Now

Sophia Harlow threw out a challenge for us to show what we looked like as new players and what we look like now.

Well, there I was back in November 2007 thinking that I was soooo hot in my Playboy look alike skin, Gurlywood hair and white go go outfit. Believe it or not, it was really hard for me to part with that skin because I got so attached to it and it just felt like me.

This is me now almost two years later! I still love the long wavy styles because that is what I wish I had in RL. I'm wearing the FreeSpeerit Kimberly skin but to be honest I change my skin almost daily now but this is one of my favorites and what I use as my profile pic.

Free Speerit Katherine and Ingenue Gene Dress

I wear the Free Speerit Kimberly skin alot! As a matter of fact, it is the skin I use in my profile pic so I was excited to see the Katherine skin being released with a beauty mark on it. I no longer have to wear my separate beauty mark prim to get the effect that I want. The Katherine skin does come with various eyebrow options and you can even tint the beauty mark.

I thought the Glamour version of the skin would go perfectly with Ingenue's new release dress Gene in the Red Hots color. This dress is hot and sexy and the textures are beautifully done! This dress come in four colors to choose from Emerald, Noir (black), Red Hot and The Blues.


I love the bow on this dress!



You will look hot coming and going in this dress! Remember that this is a system skirt, so you will need to wear your skirt shape for it and adjust your shape to your liking.
